Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String...

...these are a few of my favorite things.

A friend of mine's little boy is having a birthday soon. In celebration, I bought a gift and decided to have a bit of fun with the wrapping.

I'm presently obsessed with brown paper and twine but it wasn't enough. I wanted to add something special on top of the gift which sparked the windmill. I thought it was perfect for a little boy! Definitely add more fun colors for a little girl.

Past Scrapbooking Projects

A couple old layouts I created.

The Wedding:

My husband and I got married over 3 years ago and I am still no closer to finishing our wedding scrapbook. But at least I have started. Below are a couple of the pages I've actually completed.

Supplies:
  • Prima Flowers
  • Stickles
  • DCWV Paper
  • Fiskars Punches, Trimmer and Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Brads
  • Lace

1st Anniversary:

This is from our first anniversary photo shoot. I decided that it would be a really neat tradition to take professional photos every year on our anniversary. After about ten or so years, it will be neat seeing all the differences and how our family has grown. I hope someday to give the scrapbook to our grandkids.

Supplies:
  • Lace
  • Fiskars - Border Punch
  • Paper Doily
  • Prima Flowers
  • Brads

Paper Crafters - Attempts

I decided I would take a gander at entering a few cards into a couple contests. No dice but I'm still glad I put myself out there.

Winter Project using Non-Traditional Embellishments:

Stamping:

Charlotte's Web Mirror

I am currently attempting to decorate our new condo. Needless to say it is a slow process but I have had some pretty great crafting adventures!

I created a mirror out of my old childhood book, Charlotte's Web. It was super easy and is now currently hanging in our guest bathroom.

Tie Dye Project

This is an older project of mine made during a make and take. The picture is from a friend's Tie Dye Wedding Reception. Needless to say, the project needed some vibrant colors.

Dream... Create... Smile...

Another home decor project.

I have been obsessed with all the canvas word collages I've seen on pinterest and decided it was time to add one in our home.

Fiskateers - Spring Stamp Out - Day 2

A couple more projects completed!

Tag You're It Challenge:

Directions - Tags can be used in so many ways; on a layout, on a card, as a gift tag, or even folded as a small card. Use your stamps to decorate a tag of any size.

Numbers and Letters Challenge:

Directions - Grab those number and alphabet stamps, paper, or even embellishments with letters or numbers on them to create a project. Make sure there's some stamping on your project.

Fiskateers - Spring Stamp Out - Day 1

Today is the start of the fiskateers Spring Stamp Online Crop. I haven't had much time to participate but it is only the beginning.

Below are two challenges I have attempted thus far.

Black and White Challenge:
Directions - It's a classic! Using just black and white create a stamped project. No other colors allowed. Working with limits brings on creative solutions like texture and layers.

Mismatched Orange Challenge:

Directions - We do love orange here, and I think we've used orange with just about every other color someplace along the way. I'm guessing that there's a color that you just can't imagine goes with orange. That's what this challenge is for. Stretch your creativity and put together an unlikely combo of orange and _______ in a stamped project.
